UT Alert: armed suspect reported last seen at PERRY CASTANEDA LIBRARY SHELTER IN PLACE STAY WHERE YOU ARE AT MORE INFORMATION TO FOLLOW
Soooo I got up, and poked around on the internet. Since this was like, 9:06, there was only one austin news station with a tiny report that was like, "check back later for more info." So since my alarm doesn't usually go off until 10:00, I decided to go back to sleep for a bit. This was sort of difficult because I could hear the campus alert sirens through my window, and it's a pretty sunny day with not a single cloud in the sky. So I put my phone on silent, turned on my itunes sleepytime playlist, and put an eyemask on. When I woke back up at 10:00, I had a TON of missed calls and worried texts and voicemails. Sorry, guys! There was even another one from UT, saying that classes were canceled. So I checked around and the website confirms it, no class today. I also checked the news, the local stations are milking this for alllll it's worth. They had random students on campus calling in to be like yes, i'm in lockdown, nothing exciting has happened, the end. I even went out to meet my aunt and get my PINK TOOLKIT (Thanks, Soule family!) and came back and they were still blabbing about it on the news. Apparently there was a second shooter reported, so they had to shut everything down for the rest of the day just to be safe or something. Who knows. Either way, looks like I have more time than I thought to finish my psych paper, and study for my mythology test...and a nap.
